CMP Training Division
It is the responsibility of Texas A&M University to assure that all TAMU and TAES personnel involved in the care, treatment, and use of animals in research and teaching are qualified to perform their duties. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) expects all personnel to participate in the TAMU Animal Care and Use Training Program to satisfy their training requirement. As part of the Animal Use Protocol (AUP) approval process, principal investigators must document the training and experience of their personnel.
What is the CMP Training Division?
The CMP Training Division was established to provide training, instruction, and information about animal care and use to research personnel at TAMU. Our Training Division hosts various hands-on, web-based, audiovisual, seminar and classroom training and development opportunities. Training is available to TAMU faculty, instructors, scientists, technicians, graduate students, undergraduate students and other personnel involved in laboratory animal care and use. One-on-one training is available at anytime, upon request and by appointment.
